First Shoes, First Word
Walt Disney was talking with one of his best friends Ub Iwerks about Steamboat Willie.
Walt Disney: Ub what is the story of our upcoming short. "Steamboat Willie".
Ubbe Iwwerks: Well, everything is middling, there is no conundrum so everything will be fine.
Walt Disney: Good, that's virtuous. Okay what we need to do now is sound effects.
Ubbe Iwwerks: Some of our guys are occupied with that as well, and the animation, and our star is doing great too.
Walt Disney: Good good, okay--
(Mickey pulls on Walt's arm, and points to his feet)
Ubbe Iwerks: Oh, why hadn't I thought of that? he needs shoes. Hold on I'll get working on that right now.
(Iwwerks starts drawing shoes for Mickey whilst Walt was making him comfortable)
Walt Disney: Well what's the matter my son? Don't worry well get you some shoes.
Ubbe Iwwerks: Done.
Walt Disney: Wow that's virtuous. How did you do it so fast?
Ubbe Iwwerks: Maybe it's because I have experience in drawing and you don't.
Walt Disney: Hm hm hm, That's true, that's why I was fired once.
(Ubbe Iwwerks puts the shoes on Mickey's feet)
Ubbe Iwwerks: There you go, they fit nice.
Mickey: H- H- H-
Walt Disney: Mickey?
Mickey: H- Hot Dog!
Ubbe Iwwerks: woah!!!
Walt Disney: Mickey, you spoke!!! Haha You spoke my son, (he kneels down on one knee and hugs him) I'm so proud of you.
