What you can expect while working with me:
-Professionalism – I am Active Duty US Navy, Officer, and Aviator. I am professional and proficient in all that I do, and my artwork is no exception. I strive to perfection in my military work, and I carry this through to provide commissioners with outstanding works of art and service above and beyond the cut. I love my military work, and I love making art! You’ll find that I am extremely skilled at balancing my military career with my art.
-Proficiency – You’ll find that my Galleries show off quite a lot of dragons. And while I do specialize in all things dragon, you’ll see that I am quite skilled with other creatures and subjects as well, including but not limited to: all feral and anthro character or creature renditions, dragons, furries, scalies, reptiles, avians, aquatic creatures, canines, felines, humans, sci-fi, armour, weaponry, and much more.
-Swift Correspondence – I respond to notes within a few business days of receipt. I will answer any and all questions you may have in as timely manner as is possible for me, no matter how many you may have. I am keen on providing commissioners and watchers alike with frequent Weekly Update Journals, (posted on all applicable art hosting sites,) that outline estimated wait times for pieces and responses due to training-related or life occurrences. I also am active on Twitter and Tumblr, where I post to-the-minute pertinent daily updates that may affect commission work.
-Quick Turnaround – I am a 100% self-taught artist, and I strive to deliver high-quality work as quickly as I can. My standard turn-around time is one week to one month, with frequent updates either delivered to you individually or general updates via my frequent Weekly Update Journals.
-Frequent Updates – After our initial correspondence when I confirm that your payment has been received, I will send you updates on when your piece is coming up soon in my queue, when I have started your piece, and, of course, when I finish! I will do my best to give you an estimated time of when to expect the piece while we are still in our initial correspondence. Please note that the completion time may depend on the style of the piece and any upcoming events with my military training. I am also very active on social media sites such as Twitter, (links at the bottom of this document,) and can be reached for questions on a wide variety of sites. I am not one of your typical artists who will ‘disappear’ with your piece!
-High-Quality, One-Of-A-Kind Work – You will receive a 100% original piece, created by me completely from scratch. The only references you can expect me to use are any particular references to animal anatomy, etc, in order for me to make your piece as high-quality as possible, and any references of your character that you yourself provide.
-Friendly Service – I love what I do, and it’s because of commissioners like you that make this possible. I will do my absolute best to make sure all of our correspondence is clear and kind. I take my work very seriously, and please note that I tend to be concise in my communication, from explaining my pieces, what I will and won’t do, if I need any information from you, and if you have any questions for me.
I am happy to announce that I have a current track-record of 2500+ commissions completed within the past couple years, and counting! My track-record and gallery speak for themselves!

Commission Openings
I will have clearly stated on the front of my Profile Page on my respective online art gallery whether or not I am currently Open for Commissions. If my status is ‘Open,’ you may Note me at any time for commission inquiries.
If my current status is ‘Closed,’ there are other ways to get a Commission from me, including but not limited to:
-Journal Batches
-Lightning Round Commissions
-YCH ‘Your-Character-Here’ Auction-Style Pieces
-Experimental Pieces
~Journal Batches
*What is a Journal Batch of Commissions?
-‘Journal Batches,’ as I refer to them, are a handful of commissions, either random or specifically selected for a particular species or type of piece, that I open on a case-by-case basis when my schedule allows. I open for a limited amount of slots of each piece, and these slots are first come, first served.
*How to I claim a Journal Batch Slot?
-Quick and easy! Below my Journal, you will see several comments by myself saying things like, ‘Respond here to claim the Bust Commission Slot!’ or ‘Respond here to claim one Icon Slot!’ To claim those pieces, you only need to respond to my comment, and it’s yours! I will respond to you confirming you got the piece, and will Note you shortly thereafter to request the information I’ll need to do your piece, (character references, pose, background, etc.)
*Why are you only doing Journal Batches these days? Are you open for other Commissions on the side?
-It should come as no surprise that, as Active Duty US Navy, a Naval Aviator in training, I’m extremely busy, and my schedule changes as quickly as the weather does, (literally.) Taking Journal Batches of limited slots ensures that I only take on commissions when I know that I’m able to, and that I maintain a small yet active queue. This also means that I can do a lot of varied pieces while maintaining shorter wait times.
From now until a while, (or otherwise announced,) I will only be accepting pieces via Journal Batches for the same reasons outlined above. I am often bogged down with many flights to prepare for that end up taking many more hours of study and preparation, which cut deeply into time to work on art. I have found in the past that I would take on many, many large pieces, then suddenly have a dozen flights to prep, thus extending wait times as long as two to three months, which is WAY longer than my wait time has ever been, (probably more of a shock to me than it is commissioners.) My training moves extremely quickly, like clockwork, and maintaining a smaller queue limited to Batches is the most efficient way I can balance both flight and my art for now.
*Why do you sometimes open for species- or piece-specific slots?
-This is mainly to diversify the types of commissions that I’m working on, and also to give lots of folks with many different characters to get a piece from me. You’ll find that I will also open for new and different commission types as well that I don’t take on that often, from chibis to paintings to even ‘experimental’ pieces. I will also sometimes hold Batches with slots for Design-A-Character pieces, Ultimate Reference Sheets, and Epic Scenes!
*When is your next Commission opening?
-Inshallah, it’ll be sooner than later! I will be doing my best to post new Journal Batches once every month or two, training-depending. My best advice to plan, as it were, is to just keep an eye on my bi-weekly updates, as I always touch on the status of my commission queue in them and talk about possible opening dates. I cannot personally contact every individual who asks for a heads up when I’ll be opening. Before each planned Batch, I will be posting an announcement journal approximately one week in advance, and then a last heads up journal the day before, outlining the pertinent information and also estimated time of the day when I’ll be opening.
~Lightning Rounds
*What is a ‘Lightning Round’ of Commissions?
-A ‘Lightning Round,’ as I call them, is similar in function and layout to a standard Journal Batch, except it is completely unannounced! (With the exception of sneak-peaks and ‘heads up’ posts on my Twitter and Tumblr accounts.) Unlike Journal Batches, these will not be preceded by a week-prior nor a day-prior announcement, and will typically have a smaller amount of slots available. I open these as I have free time in between my schedule with my military training and other Commissions. Note that these do not interfere with the current Commission queue nor pre-scheduled Journal Batches!
~YCH ‘Your-Character-Here’ Auction-Style Pieces
*What are your YCH Auction Pieces, and how do I get one?
-YCH, or ‘Your-Character-Here’ pieces, are a piece where I draw a basic sketch of a character or species, for example, a Western Dragon, with little to no body detail, i.e; minimal scales, horns, little wing detail. The species will be in a specific pose, and you can place a bid to win that piece and have it finished with your character’s details! There is typically a starting bid for a sketch, all the way up to 1st Tier ‘Auto-Buy’ option of a Realistic Shaded, Full Background piece, or a 2nd Tier ‘Auto-Buy’ option of a Painted, Full Background piece. If an Auto-Buy Tier is not claimed, the auction will end on a specific date and time, and the piece will go to the highest bidder. The piece will be finished to the colouring/shading style of the winning bid, and will match my standard commission pricing.
~Experimental Pieces
-An experimental piece is one in a style or done in a technique that I haven’t done many pieces or would like to try my hand at, and would like to open the stage to anyone interested in having their character done so. Pricing and details are dependent on the experimental style I’d be interested in trying. Openings are typically done in ‘Lightning Round’ style or casual Journal Updates. Details and pricing are handled via Note.

Commissioner Information Privacy Policy Statement
When entering into commission correspondence with me, you can be ensured that I, as the artist, will not give out any personal contact information, financial information, or personal information pertaining to the commissioner to anybody or in a public fashion. I will also keep all of our correspondence private. You may also request I keep your profile/online name anonymous. I will also keep the price of your individual commission private. Although my commission prices are quite stable depending on the style of coloring or shading commissioned, special prices in the forms of Reference Sheets or Design-A-Character commissions will not be released either publicly or to anyone who asks. Those who do ask for a price will simply be answered with my general information.
All collaborations in the form of the private message system on the site where I am contacted on will be kept confidential and available to myself and the eyes of the client only. I, as the artist, will not display private messages to the public in any way or form, such as an example of collaboration for other potential clients, or for any purpose, excluding evidence should I be threatened or harassed by an individual. It is also incumbent on the client to keep all correspondence and my personal contact and payment information private. If the client is in violation of this term, the commission will be cancelled and the client permanently blacklisted and reported.
----------
Guaranteed Refund Policy Statement
Upon deciding to commission me, and after the payment is sent and confirmed to be received by me, the client is guaranteed to receive a complete refund of their payment any time prior to my beginning the piece.
If a refund is requested during the time I have begun the piece, the amount refunded will be based on how much of the piece is completed. The client may request to be sent the artwork that was completed up to the stage before the refund. The artist retains the right to keep a Termination Fee of 60% of the commission price if a client requests a refund after the commission has been completed
Your refund will be immediate and complete, no questions asked. I WILL NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY until I have started your piece! I take pride in ensuring you that your payment will be kept safe, and that I guarantee you will receive your piece, only with the exception of something extraordinary such as an emergency.
