Born. Live. Die. by TwilightAmbiance Born. Live. Die. by TwilightAmbiance
Created with Apophysis 2.07.

We invite you, wherever you are, whether you're at home or whatever, to kick your shoes off and put your feet up and lean back and, uh, get yourself a cup of coffee or something and just relax and join us in enjoying some very quiet and romantic and relaxed music for a couple of hours.

This picture really touched me. I don't know why, but it did, and I'm glad I made it.

It's tough to find inspiration when you're clean out, but whenever I get desperate, I tend to look at life in its simplest form and muse upon it, hoping that something out there can inspire me. Fortunately, something did hit me, and hard.

As of this typing, it's been more than a year since I made this fractal and I find it to be one of my most accomplished pieces ever. It's one of the few pieces where I feel that I was utterly successful in creating a piece of art that went along with the concept I was trying to convey. The atmosphere of this piece, in my own words, kills. I fell in love with it when I rendered it. It made me contemplate my existence, something I admittedly do not do often.

I'd love to hear what you think of this. How does this piece speak to you? Do you get anything out of it? Does the piece work?

Life, created and reaching out only to find loneliness. The only light in a dark place, the lifeform eventually relinquishes its glow and reaches out no longer.Born. Live. Die. by =TwilightAmbiance is fractal minimalism perfected. Every aspect of this piece, from what is there to what isn't there, says so much in so many ways. The abillity to say so much in so little is an astounding talent. ( Featured by Platinus )

It's sooo eerie. It immediatly reminds me of the ocean and of that damn fish with the little light on the end of that (string) stuck to his head. 'There's light found in the deepest darkest places, but danger too'. It's a weird interpretation I know, but it works somehow. ... slightly less creative than flamingos but I do what I can (referring to ~Superbvilous previous comment).

Anglerfish are scary-looking beasts. Take a look at the Goblin Shark if you dare. :evillaugh:

They should remove 'Shark' from it's name and just call it Goblin. It's more fitting that way. *grumble*

Those who gaze upon the face of The Flying Spagheti Monster, often do find themselves contemplating life, and their own existance! ;)

Very nice work, by the way.

I really like this piece. Very smooth and pleasing curves. But I didn't get a sense of loneliness from it. Maybe I'm just feeling extra optimistic today. And I don't see it as one organism. It seems like you have several beautiful creatures all working on creating something, and one is leaving a trail for more to come and help. I agree with Rubikscubefreak, this appears to be a very tender piece. I don't see a fear of death, but rather how much one can accomplish in whatever time one has.

Those two dots that you have, they almost seem like seeds created by the 8 creatures, that will grow into new ones. There seems to be a lot of movement, not just from the flowing curves, but from the dimmer dot, to the brighter one, like they're finding new places to create light.

TLDR: beautiful, soothing. A complete, finished piece about creation in progress.

I'm very new to dA. I accidentally clicked on "request print." I hope that's not a bad thing. I'd love to see it on my wall, but I don't have 70 USD atm.

Thanks a lot for the detailed comment. I never really saw it as loneliness, either (except for the concept of death), but rather as a small being in a rather large world, reaching out to others for help and guidance in a world that we cannot comprehend. :)

I'm glad you like it. :)

No problem :) I looked at your whole page, you have quite a feast for the eyes. <3 It's been a while since I've seen fractals, and most of the ones I saw were geometrically cool, but lacked soul. The best way I can describe yours is that they are like visual music!

I know just what you're talking about and how you feel. This one doesn't touch me in that way, but it's because we are two different peoples... Obviously. ;) And it's even better that your own art completes you like such... (Don't bother to look at mine, hehe. Faily. Mostly old.)
Your words and so soulful, normally I just give the artists comments a quick glance but you had me entranced...

Absolutely beautiful. When I saw this I instantly thought of one of those deep-sea fish...but then I thought of a star in the farthest reaches of the universe. Either way I think that this piece, in its simplicity, manages to convey a sense of fragility, and is all the more powerful because of its frail beauty. Well done :-)

hmmm...the light peirces it's dark background in a complex yet repeating pattern...what can I say? It reminds me of....almost...hope in darker times? Like your forced in a corner and there's nothing else you can do but hope? Yet that hope is stronger enough to easily outshine and standout in even the worst of situations... lol I dunno..does that make sense? lol truly wonderful tho! Good job!
