"When the bulb on its back grows large, it appears to lose the ability to stand on its hind legs."
- Red/Blue Pokedex

I'm sure you saw this before, but I felt like posting more canon proof that Ivysaur can be bipedal. Because Ivysaur is awesome. :D

Yes. That's why I drew it in that way:iconcoolshadesplz:
And this is not only picture of mine, with bipedal Ivysaur. I had one in favourite pokemon meme. Though the filled meme was stored/deleted.

I think it could stand on its two front legs in the Brawl game when it used its final smash, so I think this is a reasonable argument! XD Amazing work as always! Gotta love the dinosaur feel to it!

My friend, if you want to know something interesting, leaves and petals grow in a specific spiraling pattern, much like the squares on a pineapple. Do you care to see a strange video demonstrating this?

Sure, this is part 3 and it deals more with leaves

Haha, I bet her monotonous fast-speaking voice will annoy you xD

I think the 'fast forward' style of the video was more annoying. And plants parts with eyes. That's just creepy.
I must say her video was succesful. I usually don't watch anything longer than 5 minutes, on YT. Or if I must, I put the video to my "to do list" (and that means it will be forever forgotten). I watched it all, from beginning to the end in first try. I was curious what she can say and what she can draw.

...now kiss

xD jk jk

Yeah I get where you're coming from, drawing and art in general will forever be tied to math, they are two sides of the same coin, or maybe even a prism that includes perspective, color theory, light dynamics and even the very poor vision with which we vew the world around us; imagine if we could see, and consequently paint in infrared, ultra violet, or using thermionic measures, now that'd be something.

A fail joke, I guess.

I am aware of that.

Say, as we are talking. Why won't you say something about this or this. I'm curious what can you say:sherlock:

Oh shit, well the deer sculpture is amazingly well done. The rippling effect of the gloss is very well made, it really shows the way that tones are divided in these glossy figures as if they were vectors. The one flaw with it is the back lighting that divides the face from the branch behind it, there is no depth perception.

More or less, the same happens with the other sculpture painting, the one of the body. There the edge definition is a bit unclean. The neck doesn't look like somewhere I can really grab, or try to balance a glass of water on like an idiot. I won't talk of the anatomical or proportionate aspects because you've got those down. It's all about you perfecting your technique now.

>The one flaw with it is the back lighting that divides the face from the branch behind it, there is no depth perception.

I know. But I allowed myself to not correct this. Good that you pointed it.

>The neck doesn't look like somewhere I can really grab, or try to balance a glass of water on like an idiot.

I don't understand.

>I won't talk of the anatomical or proportionate aspects

Anatomical aspects depends on the quality of the sculpture. I don't consider it as perfect, I didn't bought it for correct body anatomy, I bought it as a weird and curved object, but with established shape, good for practice.
Proportionate aspect you could discuss if you see the statue from the same point of view with the same lighting while having my artwork to compare.

>It's all about you perfecting your technique now.

Perfecting would be doing the same quality artwork but in even less time.
Because I don't want make super uber stuffs like this [link] (he got DD recently btw) yet. You know me, I consider the sketch as the most creative part. After the sketch is just boring elements matching, tweaking details, filling the scaffold. I have in plan do one or 2 artworks like this. But leave an indication that I actually painted it, like here: [link]

Thank you. It seems like I am going in the right direction.
