Beware: No gushing Critiques from me ever.
OK first the colors are excellent. the balance from white to dark is also very good.
Taking shots of animals is part skill and part luck since the photographer has little control of the animal or the backgrounds.
The shot is nice and sharp. Sharp with soft furry animals is always a quandry. One wants the eye to be sharp and the features like the whiskers to be sharp but the fur also should look somewhat soft not like a porcupine. This is a very good shot without too much either way
As I said the shot a photographer takes isn't always within their control, so there is a minor point that can be metioned with the framing. The focal point is dead center in the frame, possibly becaue of center focus. Cropping might change, and maybe not improve the shot by moving the guys face more to the left or right. It is hard to tell without experimenting but maybe the rule of thirds would work well via cropping. The border of the shot creates tension and the feel of movement while the center creates a static feel and less tension. This is an excellent shot, and it stands well on its own but maybe some playful cropping might change the feel. Hard to tell.
