So, first impressions: I love your technique here, and I like the composition. I immediately feel a sense of serenity and I'm immediately drawn in. I also like how the woman is wearing a contrasting color against the background, as it really makes her "pop" and focuses my eye there, and the flow of her robe is natural as well. I like how the details of the cat's and woman's faces are just suggested, but suggested in a way that I don't feel they're lacking at all. They seem impressionistic rather than undetailed, and I think that took a deceptive amount of skill to accomplish.

It's only when I look a little closer that I see a few things to critique. First, the angle of the chair and table (but the chair in particular) from the viewer suggests that I'm looking at the woman and cat from behind and above. Yet the posture of the woman suggests I'm looking at her more straight on. This makes her position on the chair seem off a little. Second, I dislike how the dark part of the wall in the background seems to cut through her head. I think I see what you were going for, because the different colors of the wall contrast the lights and darks of her face, but it seems a little contrived, which is a departure from the more organic feel of the rest of the painting. Lastly, and this is most picky and a matter of personal taste, the scene as a whole makes me feel a sense of serenity and comfort, so I would have much preferred to see a comfier looking chair than what looks like a metal folding chair!

Overall this had a lot of impact, and it really made me stop in my tracks. I love your style, and if I'd been walking through a gallery and seen this, I definitely would have stopped to stare. Great work, and you have a new fan.

thanks for the critique :)

the entire scene however is took from real with that perspective and the chair was a broken metal one ^^'

it was not comfy indeed :D

Well deserved.  I love this medium.  While impressionistic, it is so "real".  It has a soul of texture and color.  Best wishes.
