CMRV: The Tomboy's Shopping Cart Sierra came through the door of her apartment, dropping her black gym bag next to her shoe rack with little thought. Her black hoodie, wet with sweat, was tugged to her neck, zipper scratching her chin, before she remembered she could pull it down. She let the garment crumble to the floor, brushing back her short blond bangs out of her face, as she hurried towards her neat kitchenette for a bottle of water, kicking off her sneakers on the way.
Head killing her, she could barely remember having such a difficult workout session in years. The fever burning her as she tossed a cap off the water bottle and chugged it down. The whole time, the boys at the gym had been giving her ‘the look’, not the one she was used to, not the ‘your body looks amazing’ but the ‘do you need help?’ looks.
