Medusa by Turkishdelight114 Medusa by Turkishdelight114
In Greek mythology Medusa (Μέδουσα (Médousa), “guardian, protectress”) was a Gorgon, a chthonic monster, and a daughter of Phorcys and Ceto. The author Hyginus, (Fabulae, 151) interposes a generation and gives Medusa another chthonic pair as parents. Gazing directly upon her would turn onlookers to stone. She was beheaded by the hero Perseus, who thereafter used her head as a weapon until he gave it to the goddess Athena to place on her shield. In classical antiquity the image of the head of Medusa appeared in the evil-averting device known as the Gorgoneion.

You know I have been doing a huge research paper on Greek Mythology, and I found out that Medusa was really born a beautiful human. They only reason she was a gorgon was because Posiedon raped her in Athena's Temple. Athena was so made AT MEDUSA that she turned her into a Gorgon. Really sad that she punished her instead of Posiedon, but he was a male Greek god, so it was okay for him to defile the temple.

Anyway nice pic :) Is that BoA or someone else?

I feel bad for Medusa. It wasn't her fault.

Its Taeyeon from SNSD.

Oh she does kind of remind me of Medusa in some weird cosmic way.

I fell sorry for Medusa too, and that whole 'its the girl's fault for affairs and getting raped' theory is still true today. When ever a boyfriend cheats on his girlfriend, the girlfriend is always going after the girl he cheated on instead of the boyfriend. So sad
