Previously on A Friend's Return: Galactic Battles...
Professor Oak finally spoke, "So, why did you call me again?"
Ash admitted, "I feel something in my aura that something is coming, something bad. Something I can only prevent. I feel like if I act with my heart, battling with this team, I will lose."
All of Ash's Sinnoh Team looked sad there but there was no denying the tension in the air.
Ash apologized, "I'm sorry guys. But I think after seeing Paul being destroyed by Brandon is my reasoning here. I shouldn't underestimate him. So...I apologize to you all. Some of you are going to go to Oak's lab for a bit and then come back after the battle. Is everyone okay with that?"
All of Ash's Sinnoh Team roared in agreement.
...
Ash stated, "I would like Heracross to come and help me defeat Paul. Pikachu, Chimchar, Staraptor, Heracross, Kingler, and Sceptile are my final choices."

Ash breathed a sigh of relief, "All right then, Quick Attack!"
