A few folks asked how I go about studying when applying to drawing and gaining knowledge. So I put this together.
Here's kinda what my study sheet looks like. This one is smaller though, as I'd normally spend hours and hours of copying things over and over again. I kinda picked samples from all of my study sheets and just crammed together in a sample here. Just imagine this, but BIGGER. With more identical stuff.
Usually it's just repetitive drawing of the same position of whatever I'm teaching myself. For instance, if I wanted to learn how to draw "butts", I'd draw the same ref'd butt over and over again. Then I'd do drawings where I exaggerate it, vary the shapes up, yadda yadda. I also make additional side notes when studying to remember key elements that apply to how to solve problems that usually come up. And some of the notes I jot down, are sometimes for pure personal amusement, as you can see. Sometimes random characters ends up in it.
But yeah. This is how I keep teaching myself. It's insane, but it's the only way to advance for me. There's always something new to learn. Currently working on my males.
