Standing 3-foot-tall, Cerebus is a misanthropic anthropomorphic bipedal gray aardvark who refers to himself in the third person. Foul-mouthed and with a vicious temper and a love of the drink, he is also brave, crafty and a skilled tactician who is proficient at hand to hand combat. Created by pioneer indie Canadian cartoonist Dave Sim in 1977, his series ran for 300 issues over 37 years and 6,000 pages.
