The rooms by tuffix The rooms by tuffix
Some observations on certain virtual spaces.

Please note: I know both "rooms" have much more to offer. This is just the overall feeling I get. No claim for completeness. It's just interesting to see how the way of communicating, trusting others, opening up and how manners in general differ between these two virtual spaces.

Yeah I feel that the room on the left represents Facebook where you're likely to encounter fake news, and the one on the right is Instagram because people would rather focus on the beauty of the world and it's differences

I'd rather be in the Instagram room anyday - I can't imagine living a life in the Facebook room with a load of miserable doomsday-spreaders xD

I have the opposite experience-- I've unfriended or muted people on my Facebook and am just bombarded with negativity, while my Instagram is so much more chill. I realize that this is 100% my own doing because I chose the things I follow on both of those sites; I just find the difference as interesting as the composition itself. :hmm:

Maybe thats because instagram is more of an public photo album than an actual space to interact with people all the while facebook is more like an extension of peoples every day life.

Basicly, I believe that the difference comes mainly from people using instagram to show off and facebook to interact. And this subsequently leads to people sharing news (fake aswell as real) on facebook in a similiar manner and frequency to how they would in real life.
