Brigitte (V3)

Edit: Been almost a year since I posted this but decided to revisit it and improve bits that have been bugging me since I first finished it. Mostly I reworked her face. And finally done. I was rather optimistic I'd be able to finish this one a lot quicker than the time it eventualy took me. This in part was due to background as I was pretty quick to finish Brigitte herself (polishing and details aside).

Since Brigitte first showed up in Reinhardt's short, I've been wanting to draw her. When she got announced I was so hyped. As a Rein and Mercy main player this is only natural I guess. I love everything about her character design and her voice actor is amazing.

So I had this idea in my head for a while to draw her standing in front of the Eichenwald bar for while. I usually avoid detailed backgrounds as.. well I'm just too lazy and often I just find it too hard to make it fit the character the way I want. So I decided to just try it. Eventualy I hated it. I just couldn't get the colours to work out. So I started over with something less complicated... which worked out even worse. So having wasted a lot of time I went back to the original background.

So while I was using some liquor bottles from my home as references, I realised it might be fun to use the actual brands and alter them a bit by putting some little OW refences on them ^_^ I figured this would fit nicely with Reinhardt's beerstein which I already had in there as ref to him.

But yeah, I also tried out a few new texture brushes for the fabric and skin. Normally I only use round soft and hard edge brushes and afterwards wonder how the f*** to get more detail in there. I like how that turned out and I will be using them more often from now on.

Long story short: here's Brigitte, finished. I had a lot of fun and a lot of frustrating moments drawing this. I really hope you like it. If you do, drop a comment and let me know.

Also I haven't really made up my mind on who to draw next so any suggestions?
