tsunami-umi

Today was rather dreary, with cold temperatures and freezing rain. I decided to cheer myself (and hopefully, other people too!) by kicking off my collection of Wyoming photos with some very sunny flowers. I have many other photos to submit over the next few days, many of which feature sweeping landscapes and a lot of flowers. These photos were taken during a trip to Wyoming in the summer of 2017, in which my husband and I visited the Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks.

This past October I had the opportunity to go visit my parents in my hometown in Connecticut. While I was there, I was lucky enough to find a few hours to wander around Huntington State Park, a place I used to visit frequently as a child and teenager. It was so nice to be able to walk along the familiar, beautiful paths once again. And of course, I took lots of photos!

I thought these pleasantly autumn-colored photos would make the perfect gift to share with everyone today, Thanksgiving 2018. I hope everyone enjoyed the season!

It took 2 years, and several starts and stops, but I finally finished uploading all of the photos I wanted to share with everyone from my 2-week trip to Japan in 2016. Now, my husband and I are nearly ready to start planning our next visit!

During our trip, we traveled to many different cities. Narita, Tokyo, Shizuoka, Mt. Fuji, Osaka, Hiroshima, Kanazawa, Sendai... Most of my photos were uploaded in chronological order, but I did accidentally miss a batch from 7/21/2016 which ended up being submitted after photos from later days.

Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys these photos. I certainly enjoyed taking them, and I am greatly looking forward to returning to Japan next year. Next up on my list of things to share here on DeviantArt are some photos I took on a trip to Wyoming in 2017, and then some recent photos from this year!

Yesterday I uploading quite a few photos that I took while on honeymoon with my husband Adam. We were staying at the Marigot Bay Hotel in St. Lucia. A couple of photos were taken at the hotel, but most were from the botanical gardens in the town of Soufriere, a few were from a trail bike tour near the beach of Anse Chastanet, and one was from a horseback ride in Rouseau Valley.
