I tore into the air before he could answer. Past the branches and leaves, I surfaced into the fresh, clean air. I could feel my heart beating fast, and my head buzzed with what was either elation or a brain injury. I hadn't climbed this high all day. From that height, I saw our territory, Sadalin. There are more gryphon territories throughout the world, but ours was the only one for many, many miles. Our beautiful, beautiful Sadalin.
