I about died laughing. I am amazed you took the time to even tear it down. The problem is most so called artist have never been exposed to real life
critique of there art by someone who is actually trained to do so. Which as harsh as it is is in all reality is kindness to help someone improve. Im tired of the whole "what i just pooped in my pants is just as good as some super amazingly talented person who works super hard at what they do mentality. DA has become some weird Facebook narcissistic experience(then again it was founded on cashing in on 85 percent of the girls making anime or taking pictures of themselves all day long and hoping DA could sell there own crap back to them). It has been a massive disappointment for me personally that literally no one offered me real constructive criticism on anything i ever made save a few artist. So I have delegated DA to simply be some visual journal of mostly my failures versus the whole 8 pieces of art of the 200 horse crap I have created. Last DD I got, i was like are you kidding me?!?! I joked with one of the retired voters for DD's and asked if she thought DA used a dart board for the DD. They agreed..

I guess if I want honest critique I gotta pay professors in college to kick my ass.. Case in point recently I had a buddy that I have know of 8 years here..Now I do not like most of the art that I make, and I think most people are not instant artist and even very accomplished artist drop the ball half the time. That is reality. So when she asked me..What do you think of my art. I pleaded with her not to ask me..When she insisted. I told that like me she was a hack, that most of her art was complete shit. Now there are couple I liked for professional reasons and I will be happy to go over it with what I think actually worked..3 months later this girl lost her shit. Apparently super mad that I did worship ever thing they made cause they Hero worshiped my garbage art! . She Came at me out of the blue once they got me on the phone for an hour long rant on how I am a terrible person for saying what i did...

So you got my vote. Fuck PC...Art is not all subjective, there is a craft to it, there is a difference between poetry versus verbal memoir diarrhea. If nothing is being ever communicated between artist and viewer ever, well then it just large group of people furious masturbating to the babble. I might as well be a bird tweeting away at a mirror all day long. Im gonna stop my rant before i resort to suicidal thoughts.

I wish you were still around.
Nothing new under the sun really, was just seeing since you were open to critique if you have tried it is all, perhaps you could walk me through what you're looking for?
The only other trick I have done with water color is pastels and those medium are very very finicky.. Oil pastels even odder with water color.

I know I am rather tired of people telling me how neato something is, id rather know why people like something or how I can improve.

Gea have you tried playing with alcohol and salt with your water colors at all? Any chance you tried an undercoating with base wash color and add some resists on the
using masking fluid (frisket, liquid mask).?
