Developing Dapplebacks (Ratha GN Update #7 )
(I'm pleased to tell you that the team completed all the character reference sheets and sent them to Sheila. She'll be making high-quality Giclee prints for Kickstarter backers. The early onset of fire season in Colorado due to the Western drought has slowed progress, since one of our artists is also a firefighter there. The recent Heartbleed Internet scare also cost us another two weeks of lost time, but we are back on track now.)
Once we designed the Named and UnNamed cats, we turned to their threehorn "deer" and dappleback horses. I had based my original dappleback conception on paintings of Eohippus, however Eo was far too ancent (Eocene), and far too tiny. Not only that, but Eo is no longer considered a horse, having been recently re-classified as a paleothere.
When I wrote Ratha's Courage, I based the dappleback horse on the pony-sized Parahippus of the Miocene, which fit better with the Named cats, who are a bit larger than cheetahs.

Ceramics and pottery, illustration. I am disabled, and chronically ill, hence the long periods without me uploading anything. I teach horseback riding as a dressage instructor and a therapeutic riding instructor for the disabled. I really like tea. Delicious.
My Etsy shop has been filled up with lots of ceramics, with pieces for sale ranging from organic slip-decorated mugs and pitchers to my painstakingly detailed "ink" drawings in commercial engobes, including dragons and birds. One of my new offerings is adorable tiny dishes for small animals in an abstract shape reminiscent of broken geodes, with bright insides and rocky outsides. Perfect for small birds, rodents, or lizards, they were inspired by my crested gecko!

I've been too sick for a long time to get around to this, so I'm feeling quite accomplished.

Also, I am in the process of building my own raku kiln, so hopefully that will mean a lot more horsehair pottery with people's pets' hair custom pieces, locally. Huzzah!

See you around sometime.

Have you ever had a dream, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?

What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire deviant life, that there's something wrong with the story. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad.

You take the blue pill, the story ends. Your browser closes and you believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland. And, I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.

I offer only the truth, nothing more.

Fella Point Right spyed, nobody has ever done this before.
Ninja Point Right I know. That's why it's going to work.
