Santa Fe Indian Market

Santa Fe Indian Market

Indian Market in Santa fe is next weekend. While I'm not native american and so can't enter the actual show that takes up the whole square of old town, I am in a gallery that is only two blocks from the square, so the massive crowds that flock to old town during the weekend make for the busiest sales of the year. I'll be sculpting in the gallery from thursday to sunday. If you find yourself in Santa Fe for the show, stop on in I'd love to meet you. the gallery is on galisteo street between almeda and water. Santa Fe fine art is the namw of the gallery. The weeks leading up to Indian market are always jam packed with projects to get ready, a

Since no one reads these posts I will not apologize for the lack of them. But If by some strangeness that is life you find yourself reading this, I wanted to let you know that I have moved from one gallery to the next and on to a third in Santa Fe. I started showing at the Santa Fe Fine Art Collector this last week(end of June 2014). I had previously showed at the Signature Gallery for the last couple of years, then this year moved in the spring to Mountain Trails gallery. I had high hopes for that gallery because one of my good friends owned it and I was certain we sell and have a blast. Alas his rent went through the roof and he had to sell

Well well well. Time has continued even though I have shut myself into shop/studio and willed with all my might that it slow down while I catch up. Winter time means PHX /Scottsdale time. Tomorrow I'll be at the Signature Gallery on main st. Scottsdale for the art walk. I'll be sculpting in the gallery on two new sculpts. if your in town and are interested, swing on by and say hi.

Love your pieces - has all that I am working towards doing
Thanks for checking my work out. I am always amazed what artists that work in the miniature realm can do. Kudos for putting so much character into such small packages with your work. A couple of artists that work miniature that I get inspired by are superhippyman and thesmall. They both have their own style like you do. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for adding - yes my world of art started when I started painting figures 15mm tall , then stated to do commisions painting for others , then larger figures , then thru that met my sculpting mentor who encouraged me to do work that I like and now 10years later I am producing originals with a signature goofyness that I call my own

I adore your work and that is what I love about hear - we are all encouraging each other and celebrate each persons uniqueness and life journey that produces some for of 'Art"

thank you also for adding me to your watch list - almost to 50
Awesome! Keep it up.

Hey, thanks for the watch...You have incredible work!
Love the style you have, and the movement you put in to your work.
Had to put a watch on you as well...
All my best to you,
Take care
Thanks a bunch Randy. As I was looking through your gallery I saw some comments that you made about working for a foundry as a patina artist. I see your up in Co, may I ask which foundry you worked for? I have a small foundry in AZ and am always trying to improve in the patina department. A bit ago I got the opportunity to talk with Erik Peterson (a amazing patina artist in Prescott area who does patina for some big time sculptors) it was enlightening and inspiring. I look forward to seeing more of your awesome crazy style. It’s super great!
You bet John!
Thanks for checking out my gallery.
I worked for 6 1/2 years at Art Castings of Colorado in the patina dept.
I don't think I would have stayed that long if it wasn't doing patinas...all the other departments would have killed me. :)
I still do my own patinas unless I run something through full service at Art Castings.
That's awesome that you have your own foundry.
If you ever have any patina questions I'd be more than glad to help.
I actually do patinas on the side when I have a little down time.
Looking forward to seeing more of your work as well!
All my best to you,
Take care,
Randy
