Let's start with the base. The way that the blood was done under his boot made a lot of sense. It really brings out the idea that Angro...

Lore: It was very well organized, well thought out. I love the way you went into detail on the 5th Black Crusade. I was very curious as...

Hey folks, I plan to be updating the pictures for my old miniatures pretty soon. I admit I've been using a camera phone (Oh no! /sarcasm), and I've finally managed to figure out how to get it to take pictures of smaller stuff. However, there are a few exceptions:
1. While I'm going to try and make sure that the old pictures just get updated to a higher detail, Tyrannir's picture will be made anew. This is because I primed him since I last took that picture, and so some of the details may not be as visible.
2. Balric may take some time. I seem to have lost his hand flamer, so I'll either be remaking it, or remodeling it to be something more unique. I plan to use the model as Vulkan, except with perhaps a different melee weapon. We'll see. Additionally, Balric is also primed, so either way, he'll be getting a brand new picture no matter what. Still, if I recall, Balric's picture was fairly decent, so I think you guys can wait :)

UPDATE: Everyone but Balric, Alimbor, and Victor have been updated!

UPDATE: Balric will be slow to return. I am currently remodeling him as a counts-as Vulcan. Alimbor and Victor will likely be up soon.

UPDATE: Alimbor and Victor have been updated! A new picture has also been added for Victor.

My name is John. I'm a gamer of various kinds, both tabletop and console/computer. I'm a big fan of Halo, Gears of War, Assassin's Creed, and World of Warcraft, both in its gaming functions and its the artistic details that are included. I used to enjoy Warhammer 40,000 and while I still enjoy the models, I no longer agree with the company's policies, pricing structure, barrier to entry, and rules balancing. As such, I've moved on to D&D, which still allows me room to paint models, though I admit the sculpting creativity is less prevalent. Still, I do get to enjoy creativity in the form of storytelling, which is pleasant.

I have multiple reasons for being on Deviant Art. The initial reason is because I wanted to get a friend a plushie that someone made commissions for, and I needed a way to contact this person to get it done. After that, I simply admired other people's works until I was gutsy enough to post my own work. Now I post my Warhammer 40,000 miniatures and a few miscellaneous drawings. In time, I plan to post all of my Blood Angels, and perhaps my Chaos Marine army. Finally, I might post up my Warhammer 40,000 homemade unit stats for others to view and assist me in balancing if asked for.

Additionally, I run a small blog as a hobby. The topics are varied as a result, but if anyone's up for a read...

COMMISSIONS: I only do miniature painting commissions locally. If you are able to reach Brookhurst Hobbies in Garden Grove, California, then we can meet there to handle the miniature and payment. Currently I charge a minimum fee of $20 for labor and use of supplies. I may charge a few extra dollars if I am in need of a specific paint color (Though if it's only one paint that I would commonly use, it's included in the $20). Other variables might be included based on size of the miniature, time restraints, etc. Additionally, all commissions come with a complimentary dullcoat. Once I have completed the paint job, we will meet up and I will ensure you are satisfied with the paint job. If you are, I will coat it on the spot to protect the miniature from wear and tear.

Saw them on Reddit and found them to be very inspirational. Just enough minimalism with enough detail. Loved the balance.
