When I was younger, 10-16
I had so many creatures and characters in my head and I just drew them without reference etc.

That seems to got lost while ageing, I have the feeling I lost almost all my creativity and I pretty much hope it will return when I draw more often.

Any tips on how to get it back faster?
What do you do to get inspired?

Did you had such years without creativity too and got back to being creative one day?
if yes, did it just happen out of nothing or did you do anything special, did anything special happend?

I do not know if the loss of my creativity has any connections with rough times in my life, maybe,
but it really sucks.
  • Listening to: audio books - as always
  • Reading: waiting for new Charlaine Harris book
  • Watching: easy virtue (Ben Barnes, Jessica Biel = hotties)
  • Playing: Bioshock again
  • Eating: broccoli and potatos
  • Drinking: water with sirup

I would suggest drawing without first researching or trying to look after someone else.
And yeah, also like xMathias said - reading... maybe trying to illustrate according to the text. That can be pretty difficult too :)

Aww, I've sort of been having the same problem as well, only its not my creativity, its my adventures spirit..

I'm sure your creativity will come back in time, maybe you should read a lot of books that have creatures in them to give you ideas for your own.
