I'm retired now, but for over 30 years, I was deep in the world of IT support, solving computer problems for countless people who generally preferred not to consult a manual. My work took place in a sea of gray cubicles, where untangling tech issues was a daily, endless routine.
My interest in computer graphics started back in the days of MSDOS, writing small programs in C. Eventually, I shifted my focus to established tools like Photoshop (version 3) and explored raytracing with POVRay. I became fascinated with fractals, using tools like Fractint, UltraFractal, and Mandelbulb3D, and also worked with 3D modeling and texturing in iClone and Substance3D. One of my most notable achievements is a series of 3D fractal videos that combine visual and audio elements with the precision of fractal mathematics. These and other creative projects, including music and stories, are available on my YouTube channel: [@browngrafix](https://www.youtube.com/@browngrafix).
Currently, I'm interested in AI and enjoy experimenting with tools like Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Ideogram, Krea, Suno, Udio, and Flux to create images, music, and stories.
Outside of the digital world, I enjoy gardening and have a passion for vermicomposting. I’m also a former U.S. Marine, a grandfather, and an enthusiastic collector of various things.
I hope you find my deviations entertaining.
