Welcome to True Amazons! The group for art depicting women as strong, tough, and courageous without sexualizing them. We want the world to see that women can and often do have great inner and outer strength, courage and determination.

You don't have to be a woman to join this group, but you do have to respect women, and your art must show that respect.

If you have any questions or need any clarification about submissions, please send us a note. Don't ask in the comments section of the front page. We might not see it.

We are currently accepting a limit of 2 images per week from all members.

THE RULES - Please read before submitting art:

The accepted media list: 3D images, digital illustrations, digital paintings, photo manipulations, scans of physical artworks such as water color paintings, oil paintings or charcoal sketches, AI compositions, MMD art, stories about heroic/strong women. Any scanned image must be of high quality and clearly viewable.

 All art must be about women/females. The main focus of the image must be a woman/female, and this woman/female must be powerful or inspiring (see below for more details). Just because there is a woman/female in the picture does not automatically mean it will be accepted.

 All characters must have realistic body proportions and anatomies, and realistic body poses. Cartoons are allowed, but "Escher girls" and erotic monstrosities are not.

 Please, no porn, lewd pin-up, fetishized sexual body parts, etc. Any nudity must have a non-erotic justification, such as the Gaelic warriors of old. They often went into battle in the nude covered in woad.

 We will not accept any art or comments that are degrading to women. This includes anything that portrays women as weak or helpless, violence against women, women as prisoners or slaves, women in bondage, women being abused, impending rape scenes, "peril" art, Gorean art, or art that portrays women as victims.

 All submissions must show reasonable artistic and presentation quality. We will not accept unfinished or poorly-presented art, faint sketches, quick doodles, blurry photos, drawings on lined paper, rough pencil sketches, or very novice artwork. Colored art is preferred; uncolored art should be well-shaded or otherwise obviously complete.

 Please only submit one version of each piece, ideally the most complete version. Also please try to avoid submitting sequence series.

 If something is in your gallery, then it has to be your own original work, not stolen, uploaded or modified without another owner's permission. Photo-manipulations and photo-based art must credit all source photos in the accompanying notes and be modified enough from the original to be considered art. As a rule we do not consider applying Photoshop actions or other art effect filters adequate to create original work.

All 3D Art media: As a general rule we require that users publish in the artwork description the list of credits for the 3d assets that was used in creating the image. Acceptable lists would be detailed items used or stating that the assets used were purchased/licensed from a credible store/vendor. If the credits list or the store/vendor name is missing we will decline the submission.

AI Art: AI - AI content will be accepted under specific, limited conditions: Any image submitted must consist of material that is created by the artist such as drawing, painting, 3D composition, or detailed photo manipulation. AI can only be a small part of that image, such as a background with enough content created by the artist in the foreground so that the background or any part of the generated AI is NOT the focus of the image. Members will need to provide us with the details listed in the image description of what part of the image is AI, what program was used to generate it, and how it was incorporated into the creation process. If we find an image submission has been solely created using AI, it will be declined. Should we find one that slipped past our scrutiny, it will be removed. Should we be notified by an artist that the image posted was made using one of their images or based on one of their images, it will be removed if proven to be true.

Any member who continues to submit images that are not inline with the the rules outlined above, will be removed from the group.

Art submissions MUST fall into one of more of the following categories. If it does not, then it is not appropriate and we will not accept it.

* Fan art or cosplay of known strong female characters from popular culture, mythology, or history

* Warrior women, women who are holding weapons, wearing armor, or kicking butt

* Women who demonstrate remarkable physical strength, athleticism, or a muscular body. No ridiculous proportions or any sexual fetish type art accepted.

* Women who possess, preferably demonstrate, formidable magical powers; i.e. witches and sorceresses

* Women as leaders, women possessing authority

* Women displaying other qualities of strength or toughness not listed here; i.e. mastering the elements, flying a jet, saving someone's life, befriending dangerous animals, making an important political statement, etc.

Submissions Not Accepted for inclusion in the galleries

Deviant ID's of group members are no longer being accepted. We feel that those images are better served displayed on individual member pages.

No commercial advertisement type of submission for monetary gain will be accepted.

No submissions that include unlicensed game assets, copyrighted images or any questionably sourced material will be accepted.

Screen-shots from games, TV shows, movies, etc. do not count as art and will not be accepted.

We'd like to add you and your art to our group. We are very particular about what art is accepted. Our focus is strong, courageous and defiant women. I think some of your works definitely qualifies!
