TRUE AMAZONS – Official Group Guidelines

True-Amazons is a group dedicated to the representation of female strength in all its forms: physical, mental, magical, inspirational, strategic, and cultural.
We welcome artworks that portray women as active, capable, and meaningful subjects.

1) Membership

Group membership is open: no prior approval by the admins is required.

No checks will be made on new members’ galleries or favourites.

With greater freedom comes greater responsibility:
members who repeatedly submit works that are clearly off-topic or against the rules, despite warnings, may be removed or banned from the group without prior notice.

2) Group Theme

We accept works that celebrate female strength, broadly intended as:

physical or combat strength

magical or technological power

leadership, determination, resilience

charisma, intelligence, manipulative or strategic ability

cultural, symbolic, or inspirational impact

Subjects may include:

human women

fantasy, science fiction, or mythological characters

female creatures of imaginary species

Any artwork that clearly follows this perspective is welcome.

3) NOT Accepted Content

We do not accept works that fall into one or more of the following categories:

- Strong fetish, BDSM, or femdom content

- Scenes of abuse, captivity, torture, “peril,” bondage, gagging, tied or submissive women

- Depictions of sexual violence or threat of rape

- Gratuitous gore or explicit humiliation

- Deliberately unrealistic or deformed body proportions
(inflated, extreme super-muscular, doll-like, etc.)

- Non-original written content
(excerpts or full works by third parties, copyrighted fanfiction texts, copied or reworked texts without authorization)

Nudity is not automatically forbidden, but it must have a clear thematic or artistic justification consistent with the group’s spirit. Such works must be properly labeled as "mature content" (using the proper feature provided by Deviantart), before the submission.

4) Submission Rules

Artworks must be submitted directly into the most appropriate gallery based on their theme
(e.g. fantasy, science fiction, fanart, short stories, poetry, etc.).

If a work could fit more than one gallery, choose the one that seems most appropriate.

The Featured gallery does not accept direct submissions:
artworks are selected and added by the admins.

Users are allowed to submit up to 10 artworks per day (specific galleries may have stricter limitations)

Please avoid submitting:

multiple nearly identical versions of the same work

repetitive “series” with minimal variations of the same subject

5) Accepted Formats

Visual Art

Digital illustrations

Digital paintings

Traditional drawings (scanned in good quality)

3D renderings (static or animated)

Artistic photo manipulations

Mixed media (traditional + digital)

Written Works

Short stories

Poems

Limitations:

Only complete works with a minimum level of care and presentation
(no rough sketches, unfinished drafts, doodles, childish drawings, blurry photos, clearly incomplete works)

No pure screenshots from games, movies, or TV series

Works generated almost entirely by AI without significant artistic intervention

Works for which the submitter does not hold the rights or lacks the original author’s authorization

For written works:

only original content

no essays, articles, personal diaries, reviews, or treatises

language: English, with a minimum acceptable level of grammatical correctness

If AI was used as a support tool (e.g. backgrounds, textures, compositional base), this must be clearly stated in the description.

6) Originality and Rights

All works must be original or used with explicit authorization.

Photo manipulations must:

credit the source images

be sufficiently transformed to qualify as an independent artwork

For 3D renderings, it is assumed that the artist owns the necessary licenses for the assets used.
Credits are strongly recommended.

For written works:

the author must hold all rights to the text

unauthorized adaptations or translations are not allowed

7) Moderation

The admins reserve the right to remove works that do not comply with these guidelines.

Serious or repeated violations
(especially fetish content, abuse, extreme objectification, or plagiarism)
may result in removal from the group or a ban.
