...okay...I lied...here's another one :D
Really loved the flow of the last upload and decided to repose her into a slightly different arrangement.

On a related note: I've worked enough with it to have come to the conclusion, that I want all my hair props/figures to be dForce enabled from now on...please?
It's superior in many ways to ye olde transmapped hair figures, that I think this "revolution" (and yes, I know that dynamic hair has been around for ages [looking at you Poser]) needs to happen right here, and right now.

Sure it needs a little bit more time to simulate the hair fall, but if you compare this to ANY other long hair prop/figure, the positive FAR outweighs the negative...

Can't happen soon enough imho. Get it done, hairmakers out there, you hear me? :D

PS: Even looks great with RedSpec TGX Hair applied to it as you saw in the last image and this one ;)

Skin shading is as always: RedSpec TGX tailored MK3 for G8 Females. Hair and skin shader, both available here: redspec-sss.com/

Playful
To the neck in preparation work for university and needed to clear my head from it all.
So you'll get to profit from this, in form of a classic-bonbon-style pin-up :D

Hope you like it!

hey do you plan on making an update for redspec with the new Octane 4 release that just came out last night? Octane 4 release says they improved SSS apparently.

I'm working on that, as I'm typing this.
We'll look into it, how much sense it makes to incorporate it into the current shader set-up under the consideration of all the features they introduced.
We'll let you guys know in our journal.

I talked to you in the OTOY forums about this, but the thing i want the most from the new octane 4 is the faster geometry loading. I want it to be able to scrub through my daz animations without doign the "building geometry" bullshit everytime i make a small posing or morph edit. Thats all iwant from octane right now.

I was using your previous Gen2 shaders adapted to my Gen3 characters, but after buying your new Gen3/8 shaders...  I regret not having done before. AWESOME!

I am surely doing something wrong but... whenever I apply the shaders on my existing character and start the render it makes the skin a bit plastic-alike :/ What am I doing wrong? I simply drag and drop the shaders one by one over the many body parts and render... at least that's what the readme PDF is telling me to do. Do I have to play around with the settings? Could you give me some quick tips?

Hey,

it depends strongly on your OctaneRender plug-in version and the character materials you applied to BEFORE you actually apply the RedSpec shaders.
Make sure to get the most recent DAZ3D Studio plug-in version of Octane here: render.otoy.com/customerdownlo…
And the most recent Poser here render.otoy.com/customerdownlo…

Then make sure to apply 3Delight settings BEFORE applying in DAZ3D Studio, as Iray materials won't work.

Changing the glossiness of the shader is described in the manual: Try upping the roughness values, by decreasing any specular values.

Let me know, if this helped you.

Regards and Happy Rendering
