This a made-up LCARs tactical display for the starship Atlantis. I made this all in Illustrator except the Romulan ship which is a picture.

Yes, your work has a very unique look to it.

Hi again TronTrek.
I notice last response on this page , was 2013.
What I did was post the menu skin on Classic Shell forum:

classicshell.net/forum/viewtop…

If you feel it is not welcome, I will delete the skin.

Oh this is so cool I am extremely honored. I have not looked at my Deviant account in years. I currently don't do traditional art anymore. I am currently a programmer but I have always considered maybe making a LCARs interactive app someday. My intention of this project was to make every screen of the control panel. On the left side you see all the panel options.

The color scheme was influenced by Star Trek Nemesis which is a blue interface but I wanted to make it more colorful so I started experimenting with different colors. Eventually I came up with this gray blue / darker colors scheme.

For a time I was trying to create the Starship Map panel and was going to create my first side panel view of the starship but it started becoming too tedious and I got side tracked with my college. Overtime I forgot about the project. I never finished it but I might release it some day.

Hi TronTrek. I like the wall paper.
It is not in your face color. More toned down.

Would I be able to use parts of your image and incorporate into a start menu skin for Classic Shell?
I would use naturally, the left side, because it looks like a start menu already.
Probably pick up some of the colors from other parts.
Incorporating the color # bars might not work, due to the limitations of how the menu stretches,
but I would like to try. :)
If you do let me try, I will surely put your name credits in the Info, about what and who it is based on.

I always figured that what you have labeled as a sensor array was actually one of the disruptor arrays. I love how the display as a whole tells a story (looks like the Warbird is getting in some lucky hits).

If this was what actual LCARS displays wee showing the operators, I'd be very disappointed.

What do you mean?

It's too straightforward. What's the point of attending Starfleet Academy if the computer systems can insta-hack everything to display finite data about foreign systems. Lacking a direct uplink to the Romulan Warbird's computer, the starfleet vessel would have to infer averages base don past readings and current energy output for things like shield strength and enemy weapons.

Don't get me wrong; I think that LCARS are terribly inadequate for the type of information that needs to be displayed, but canon is canon.

I understand you argument but I just like the look and don't care too much whether it is a ideal operating system. I always loved Star Trek LCARS because of its unique design not for it functionality.

You've definitely got a great interface there.  It's clean, stylish, and most importantly, practical.

I was going to make the entire operating system. I was trying to make the operating system functional without the number buttons.

I will eagerly await any updates.  :-)
