Wren Zatanir

Wren Y. Zatanir is a very tall, shy kinta who hails from the kinta homeland. They never quite fit in at home, so as soon as they were able to they took up the offer from the Confederation of Human States to go and work abroad for a few decades, performing the usual sort of in-demand kinta tasks like construction and demolition all around the country.

The CHS started the Kinta Work Program in the 1950s to encourage international and interspecies cooperation, with mixed results. Humans are the majority species in the CHS (what a surprise), and for fairly obvious reasons kintas and humans don’t always see eye-to-eye. Wren is happy to be free of the judgments of kinta society, but has not found the CHS to be particularly welcoming either, as the government is fairly strict on what they allow them to do and the public is still hesitant to accept kintas as regular people, usually considering them to be tools of industry, scary giant monsters, or both.

Wren remains hopeful, however, and while they aren’t always the most aware of how humans work, they try to make friends and partake in social activities if they can, and sometimes they even succeed. But since they’re always being shuffled around between jobs, nothing ever sticks; at least they will all take the memories with them and keep on learning a little bit more about humanity as they go.

They are 23.5 m (77 ft) tall, which is very close to the maximum height at which a kinta can be considered healthy. Their birthday is May 12, 1912. Their coat is mainly black, but the tip of their tail and their right arm save for the hand are white and they have two white spots on the right side of their face. They have distinct dark purple hair and blue eyes, with one horn (rear-right) broken off and the center horn curving to compensate for balance. Often seen wearing the blue-and-orange KWP uniform, ID number 223.
