Description
But what do they eat? Basically the same stuff as anyone else, just more. Big surprise. No, they won't eat you. They prefer eating plant matter over other animals, but this isn't because of some kindness or ethics, it's because vegetation gets big enough and domesticated animals (or really animals of any sort) do not. The issue of food and the production thereof abroad is illustrative of the lengths they must go to to make a decent living in parts of the world where they are not native.
Transcript:
Kintas need to eat millions of Calories per week. On our native island, local agriculture meets these needs through lots of appropriately sized crops and some less-appropriately sized livestock.
Outside the homeland, locally produced food for kintas must be manufactured from much smaller components, resulting in highly processed offerings that prioritize quantity, density, and shelf life. Unfortunately, "tastes good" is not on that list.
Kintas are omnivores and are known to have a higher tolerance for things other species tend to consider undesirable. But being able to stomach most types of organic material doesn't mean we'll just eat anything - we have preferences like anyone else!
Many folks fear kintas because of an erroneous stereotype that we're somehow inclined to eat people. Granted, we’re statistically dangerous, but almost all incidents stem from negligence rather than hunger or cruelty.
Thanks for viewing.
