Terry Knight And The Pack - A Change On The Way
___________________________________________________________
If the ears of the people hear, the sound of feet that are marching near
If the eyes of the people see, that the sound comes from you and from me
If the shouts of the young men ring and the voices of the young girls sing
If the hearts of the children cry, to take control of the world or die

Song link Lyrics link

Dedicated to the students and teachers of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and countless other shooting victims across this nation...may your lives not have been in vain.

March For Our Lives link
NEVER AGAIN link

"Young people have helped lead all our great movements. How inspiring to see it again in so many smart, fearless students standing up for their right to be safe; marching and organizing to remake the world as it should be. We've been waiting for you. And we've got your backs." President Barrack Obama.

Thank you President Obama for reminding us of what a real presidency is Obama 5

I support what they are fighting for, but it's just the beginning.. underlying reasons of why so many people in USA feel they need a gun have to be addressed.. reducing poverty, increase employment, improve access to mental health care, work towards a more just society in every way should reduce violence and at some point guns won't be "needed" anymore..
Lucky for me I live in a "s******e" of a country where we don't have that kind of problems.. I mean it's far from perfect but at least I can walk alone at night without any worry whatsoever and when my kids go to school I can be sure they're safe.

Like so many things in the US the Second Amendment for citizens to have the right to bear arms comes from an antiquated time in our history. Foremost it was a way to insure that the country had an armed militia at the ready in the emergency case that we were invaded by another country. Mind you the technology at the time was musket rifle. One shot at a time. If one soldier back then had the rifle that was used in the Parkland school shooting...I think he would have won the Revolutionary War against England single handily in a week. Another reason that people want guns is so that in case a rogue government came along we could overthrow them and restore our democracy. But that's another pipe dream. No way can we overthrow the government by armed confrontation. Look at each police department across this country. They aren't police...they are small armies with TANKS. Police with tanks. WTF! If ever there was a government that needed its leader ousted it would be this current one with Traitor Trump at the helm...but what has been done to curb this fascist who slowly behind the scenes is putting in place all the pieces to take complete control of the country first and then the world. I know that sounds insane but think of how many men throughout history have tried. That mindset hasn't gone away...ever. So what's to say it won't happen here. The most powerful country in the world just allowed a traitor to hack the voting machines and get himself elected to the most powerful position in the world with a nuclear arsenal at his fingertips second to none in the world. That's all one needs to take over....the will and the power to act on it.

It's all horribly wrong.. civilians armed with automatic weapons
and the police with tanks..But the time is on the new generation's side.
They have a different set of values altogether and they can build a better society.
And Trump is not getting any younger, for all we know, he could drop dead tomorrow?

I know...if it weren't so angering it would be depressing. Can't close our eyes for a second because this cockroach is a wile one.
Yeah it would be a service to the world if he died. I had the same thought 14 long months ago but Traitor Trump has longevity in his family. His Klu Klux Klan father lived to 94 and his immigrant mother, who should have aborted him and reportedly asked his first wife Ivana, “What sort of son have I created?”, lived to 88. Maybe the buckets full of greasy fast food Kentucky Fried Chicken that he shoves down that shit hole he calls a mouth will clog up his arteries so bad that he'll...well he'll kick the bucket (pun intended) and make Colonel Sander's a national hero.
:iconcolonelsandersplz:
And yes you're are so right that time is on the side of this young generation and that's the conundrum...I hope there is enough time left for them to grow to an age in which they are allowed to vote for change before all is too far gone to reform anything. Which raises another question. Why should young people not be allowed to vote too? They have a voice and are so much more intelligent than most leaders currently in office. I honestly think that as soon as a youngster reaches 13 they should have a say in the politics of their country's direction and what it stands for. Out with the decrepit old constipated Trumpy Bears and in with the liberally refreshing new Generation Z

:nod::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I was thinking more like 16.. if they're old enough to drive, they're old enough to vote..
But in any case, these kids were forced to grow up way too quickly fearing for their lives and witnessing their friends die..while the grown-ups that were supposed to protect them, protected their own "god-given right to bear arms" instead. Despicable.

I couldn't agree more. Deplorable! They think it's "God given" but it's not. God is dead. Ask Nietzsche :)

A coast with a cloud is never loud. Just water there measured with the number of Froude.

Froude number
a dimensionless number used in hydrodynamics to indicate how well a particular model works in relation to a real system.

A very beautiful capture. And the little white cloud. Maybe it's a sign.

"So much of the world is plunged in darkness and chaos." Spot on Mr. Cohen...how befitting your words of wisdom are in today's world
I so appreciate your encouraging words. All thanks belong to you and to all who will listen to what I try to say visually. I'd liked to ignore what's happening as much as the next guy but with this animal we can't afford to turn our away from him for not even a moment because he'll surely shoot us in the back like the coward that he is.

For sure Trump is a narcissist.
Low in self-awareness, low in impulse control, low in empathy.
Someone who was elected to the position of POTUS when so many worldwide though he never could... Sad

First let's be perfectly clear...HE WASN'T ELECTED fairly. He colluded with Putin, an adversarial government to the US, to hack voting machines in some choice districts in three States. In total the 77,000 votes they hacked from the machines in those states were enough to win him the electoral votes which obviously determines the presidency here. It hasn't been proven YET but everyone knows in their hearts that he's a traitor and his base could care less. And the Democrats roll over and hope he scratches their bellies. America's greatness is long behind her. Ms. Clinton had three million more popular votes but that doesn't count in this rigged antiquated system. This is now twice in recent history that Democrats allowed Republicans to steal an election through jury-rigged electoral districts. The first being Baby Bush and we all know how that turned out.

The whole Russia thing is insane indeed and I totally agree with you that the electoral college in America is an outdated system, but it ultimately determines who will become president. the U.S. voting system is in need for a change.

And indeed we all know the American presidential elections of 2000 ... Bush versus Gore.
