Mermay 2021 - Caspian and Echo

The plan was 4 mermay pieces, but I ended up doing three and a sketch.  Week three got a little too ambitious... it was going to be a multi-cube, multi-character pokemon gijinka extravaganza and I couldn't get the sketch to look right so I just skipped it.  I do kind of want to come back to it later, but I am a tired silph with a to-do list that could probably wrap around the globe quite comfortably, so... we'll see.

I'm capping off Mermay 2021 with my own Caspian and Echo.  They're kind of my take on The Little Mermaid, but not entirely.  I'd say more, but I'm dealing with the mild cold symptoms of vaccine #1 and my brain has been replaced by a cotton ball.  In brief: their story is part of A Tale of Beasts and Beauties (check out my gallery for OCtober portraits of some other protags, Esmaline and the Raven King) and is a mashup of a faerie tale and a myth.
