History:
Marrow is a reclusive and reserved stallion who does his best to remain undiscovered. Born to a small herd that wandered about the Veiled Rift, he never had much contact with anyone outside his close knit band. His mother passed when he was young and was primarily raised by his father who never really cared for the boy. There were questions of fidelity that floated about the herd, considering the strange markings that Marrow was born with. No one else looked like him, after all, and no one wanted to. Many believed him to be a bad omen, marked as though he had already spilled blood even though he never raised a hoof to anyone. 

When his horns began to grow in, his reputation continued to decline as his unusual appearance only became more prominent. He left the herd around the age of 5 and has spent most of his last years wandering about the northern borders of the Blooming Territories. Marrow is distrustful of strangers and prefers to live alone, convinced from a lifetime of bullying that no one actually wants to be apart of his life. 

He believed this way of life would keep him safe but as it turned out, not even the most remote forests were really safe. Marrow had a run in with a Reaper some years past which nearly left him cold and dead. Unfortunately, the Blight infected him and turned poor Marrow into a Reaper himself. He now continues to isolate himself, desperate not to give into his growing lust for blood. While he doesn't require it to live, the years of resisting it entirely have begun to weigh on him as he continues to live in denial. 

In Autumn 329, Marrow attempted to make a pilgrimage to the Water Temple at Nokotara Lake, but was unable to find it on his own.  During his struggles, he was found by Khairo, who convinced him to stay with his herd, Blight affliction or no.  Luckily for Marrow, Khairo's herd had visited the Water Temple not long before and were able to guide him the rest of the way, but despite his best hopes, even those holy waters could not return him to his natural state.  Though he is trapped as a Reaper and remains aloof, he has found great comfort in the acceptance Khairo and his herd have offered (and it helps that they're clearly willing to take in anyone - they have a dragon with them, for heaven's sake!).
