Spring 326, Festival of the Petal

Chase and his new friend were all too happy to add another to their ranks, charging through the shallows with reckless abandon until the light began to fade.  As the clusters of foals began to separate, returning back to their mothers for dinner, Chase realized his two friends had no herds to call them.  This, he decided, simply could not be allowed to stand.  Turning his earlier fears that Khairo might find a mare and leave him behind on their head, he lead the two lost foals back to his father and the green-haired mare.

"Dad, Dad!"  he crowed.  "Daaad!  They don't have herds!  Can they stay with us?  Pleeeaaaassse??"

Khairo blinked in surprise to see that the magnitude of his fatherhood had apparently tripled the second he took his eye off his son.  Three sets of huge eyes stared up at him, pleading.  The newcomers were so young... as young as Chase had been when Khairo plucked him out of those brambles.  His heart broke.  He couldn't just... leave them... 
If they truly had no parents, he really only had one option.
The red stallion smiled gently.

"We can't just take whatever foals we want, kiddo," he replied.  "We've gotta look for their parents, first.  But if we can't find them, of course they can come with us."
The excited shrieks of three foals were probably audible from orbit.

I'll probably put a pin in this until the end of the month for a few reasons, not least of which that F020 is part of the Rare Beauties auction and I can't get an answer for him until that ends.  Fingers crossed! >w>

While the pale colt remains silent, the small bay filly glances to Chase before stepping up nervously to Khairo.  'Mr. s-stallion...?' She begins, clearly trying to be brave. 'Momma...she told me to come here...she was sick. I...she said someone stronger than her would come save me...' She peeks back to Chase and perks up a little. 'I...I think that's supposed to be you guys...if...if I won't be a burden...'
