You leave behind the buzzing of dragonflies and descend into the depths. The floor under hoof is slick so its not a surprise that your hooves slip a few times. Luckily the jolts are short and gradually the smooth river rock under hoof levels out. You settle somewhere below the lake in what sounds like a much larger chamber.

You can't see very well but your ears easily catch the faint echoes of trickling water and gentle currents. You get the impression that whatever this once was, it had been much much larger. Instinct, or perhaps destiny, calls you forward into the murk. Gradually the floor slopes again and your hooves step into shallow water. It's surprisingly warm and soothing to the touch and after a few strides you can feel a gentle and playful current pulling you to and fro.

The current leads you through several doorways before emptying out into a large, circular chamber. Light provided by your companion, gently illuminates long lost stained glass windows all around the room. Unicorns of all shapes and sizes are displayed performing various feats with their water magic. A dazzling kelpie-like unicorn parts a raging waterfall with their horn while another, appearing shockingly crocodilian, is shown galloping across a lake.

But most impressive is a massive statue centered in the room. The unicorn stands square with a front leg slightly lifted as though it is preparing to walk forward. It's mane and tail are carved to resemble waterfalls which fall and merge with the base of the statue. Judging by the moss and grooves in the statue, you surmise that water likely used to flow down the mane and tail, making this statue a fountain. As your eyes lift to look at the face of the unicorn your eyes lock with the statues. The eyes are made from polished blue stone and gleam almost like real eyes. As you fall into the blue you wonder if they are really stone. Are they gemstones? Sea glass? You don't know as you suddenly feel the floor fall out from under you.

The plummeting feeling in your chest only stops when the sound of a crashing wave fills your ears. Your entire body seems to lift and roll as if caught by the same wave which settles you on your hooves again. The warmth of the water rushes past you as the rich smell of a babbling spring creek tickles your nose.
