Winter, 326 of the Third Age
Featuring Khairo, Ehretia, Aurora, Shaiera, Chase, Hesper, and Lukharien
Khairo's Magical Awakening Quest, Part 1

As winter set in, bleak and icy even in the heart of the Flame Expanse, Khairo made a decision:  To keep the herd moving in the strange, brutal weather, they would embark on a quest.
And though he knew it was, perhaps, a little selfish, the quest would be in search of a way to awaken his own dormant magic (assuming he had any at all).
"There's supposed to be a shrine somewhere out here," Shaiera offered.  "But I've never seen it.  Come on - let's go find it!"

In a fit of inspiration, I decided that the best course of action would be to awaken at least Khairo's magic before starting on any winter quests.  Future updates will probably not show the entire herd like this.  Note to future me: let them walk behind bushes or rock piles or just draw like half the herd.  It's fine. =P

Random Event: Side Quest



You suddenly realize that your mindless day dreaming has led you astray. The trail you were following is no longer as appealing as before and you’ve ended up...somewhere spooky. The ground seems to be soured and you can see bones sticking up through patches of snow. Yikes. Seems like you’ve stumbled upon a graveyard! Understandably it’s best to leave such a haunted place but as you turn to retrace your steps you hear a faint laugh. Or was that cackling...what do you do!?



  1. Stay steady and quietly take your leave.

  2. Freeze in place and listen to the noise. Where is it coming from?

  3. Follow the laughter. There is nothing worth laughing at here!
