I could not fathom why one would look for more and more art of lumpy, realistic fat. There are so many artists already, plus real life is literally overfilling with them. Not to mention Trinity fate's shading style that goes much better with smooth, shiny surfaces. Perhaps I am being too dramatic, but repurposing artists whose art style would clearly not fit the topic, to that topic, is tragic.
Definitely voting for smooth, Trinity is one if not the best artist drawing fats I know and from my opinion, his art style would develop better focusing on non-lumpy, non-cellulite fat, with things like the nami fanart to branch out and develop further.
Ahhh that's such a difficult question to answer! When it it comes to real life, I suppose I would say smooth if I absolutely had to choose. Both look so nice though.
But when it comes to artwork, I kinda do find myself pretty into the cellulite look. I can't recall if I've ever seen you try that with your artwork, so I'd be interested in how you would attempt it. If you already have tried drawing cellulite please, let me know. :3
My man, there is nothing better than a smooth jelly belly that flows through your hands like water contained in a silk weave and is softer than a marshmallow. The other stuff is definitely nice too, but when it comes to belly stuff in regards to fats as a very notable point; smooth can't be beat in my eyes. Lumpy stuff usually beats out Smooth when it comes to my kinda huge sizes though, so there's also that.
Damn, can't believe how bad Cellulite's getting blown out.
Honestly, I just find it a lot more fun to draw and stuff. It's really fun to work on the lumpy stuff, because you get a better feel for the contours of the body. It helps me understand where I'm going wrong, but then again that doesn't help me fix it. ;w;
Either way, both are good, but I think I definitely side on of flabby big lumps. :v
