Unfortunately for me, I'm usually too busy being bothered with too many mundane tasks to fully enjoy the stream, and this is most of the time. On the few rate occasions that I can watch a stream uninterrupted, I end up too tired to continue watching after a while, so I just leave for a while to do something else, hoping to return in time for the rest of the stream. Sometimes I simply watch the streaming artist work to take notes on certain techniques that he/she implemented into his/her artwork so that I may practice putting those techniques to use in my artwork. Other times, I like to mingle with the audience and the artist, make new friends and chat with old ones. But, as I said, I'm usually bothered with too many mundane tasks to fully enjoy the stream. I haven't even been able to stream on my own because of how much I've been doing at home, as well as working on clients' commissions and my own personal stuff, which is a far more rare occurrence...
90% of the time I silently watch, 5% of the time I just turn it on cuz the ones I do know of play pretty good music, and then it inspires me to do my own art. The other 5% I try to interact, but usually they have the regulars/friends in there gabbing and/or kissing butt constantly so I get drowned out (I avoid most of those streams by now, unless I'm getting art)
i preffer Interact... i dont have any friend who also like ''big girls'' so sometimes i feel lonely XD so in my opinion i like to talk to them at least a little , it could be awesome if i have one or two friends in FB or something XD
honestly every artist takes a break so if you do interact do it when you need to give your writing/drawing hand some rest while typing with the other. If you aren't ambidextrious (butchered that word) oh well just type slow. Better to have some interaction then having none.
This wasn't on the poll, but I have to say I hate when streamers play music over their streams, especially if they're talking over a mic so I have to endure the music if I want to know what's going on.
I'm there for your skills as an artist, not as a DJ.
Think about this though: drawing for hours in silence with no one around except for the people watching everything you do through a screen. It would drive me insane to just sit their and have nothing to even get my mind racing. Music is perfect to get a muse or have some relaxation. However, most of the time when a streamer talks its normally just them checking on viewers and their thoughts on the piece so mute if you don't want to listen (and yes you did state that but for the most part its rare that when an artist speaks its to warn people that there will probably be a break).

i prefer to interact with them even if i get nervous, gotta get over my fears if i wanna ask questions that i've meant to ask them for a good while, and so far it's shown great results. plus, it's always nice to interact with the streamer/other people!
I PREFER to interact with them, but for a goooood chunk of artists, that ends up falling through almost the moment I enter the chat. So I usually stay quiet and just listen to whatever they've got going on.
I prefer to stay quiet while they're working, absorb a little bit of information to better my works. When the artist finishes, I will sometimes interact with them and any other people who are chatting on the stream channel.
