Since I'm an author, the hardest part is going back for spell checking.

The internet is infinite but that doesn't change the lack pf tutorials.....seriously they teach you how to do your linework in 500000000 different programms but not how to do linework in the first place....

But if I had to equate my processes to that of an artists, it would be taking the picture/fleshing out the idea so I'll say sketching.

For me....

Sketching: (by hand) Hmmm, stand her there....draw her in this form.....eh, not big enough.......now to fix her hair.

Linework: (by hand) Okay, thick lines for the body, thin lines for the facial features, keep it on the line, and now to erase the pencil marks.

Coloring: (via scanned and photoshopped) Fill in, shade with gradients, and done.

If I do linework, it's colouring. If I don't, colouring takes a lot more care, so sketching in that case

Inking the work, of course~!
The only problem to avoid is using the wrong lines. .-.

the sketch is the fast part of the process for me, and the color is the more fun XD

for me it's the sketching progress since i personally like it when there's a sketchy look on things and practiced it for a very very long time
it's been just recently that i tried doing clean lineart and so far it's been going well but im pretty slow at it

I don't really know, actually, I did my fastest piece ever last night, took me under an hour to sketch, line, and color it- and I wasn't even trying to rush it... And it still looked good somehow. Or, good for my standards, at least.

I feel lineart, since the way I sketch is I basically draw the picture out in pencil first and then go in and trace what I've already done. :D Coloring definitely takes the longest.

I typically do sketching and linework simultaneously.  Coloring is my quickest process, given I use the bucket tool on everything.  LOL

Assuming I can actually get anything done at all, then colouring will usually be the fastest part. The other parts can take a few hours on their own.

For me, it's lineart, since I'm just going over what I drew before with a pen.

sketching is like 1% of the time used and the funnest part
coloring like 2%
line art would be the rest and the worst

Sketching and planing by far if I already have an idea in mind, such as pose and environment.

I overuse the fill tool(apropos, considering my subject matter) so coloring is relatively quick

I would say sketching, but i litterally take hours to tweak things i think are off, then it turned iut it was off, so i end up erasing most of it, and it ends up becoming a what am i doing situation. But coloring on the other hand, i usually know what colors i want to use before hand, and i usually plan out where i want to use them before i do anything like that. So basically its the quickest task for me.

The fastest part is thinking of something to draw, the longest is actually drawing it I guess. I have more than 9000 ideas in my head and I draw 1...

per year...

depends on how much linework needs to get done. if there's alot it takes up the majority and coloring takes about 20-40 minutes. linework is about 30-50 minutes per character. yes I suck ><

Trust me, you don't. It takes me even longer than that to do linework in most cases.

yeah I tend to rush linework. I'm better at sketching. I STILL screw up with my tablet all the time. it took 2 weeks just to figure out how thin to make the lines.

I wanna say sketching, but it may be coloring, especially if shading is involved or not.

I kind of meshed shading and flat coloring together because some people don't shade their stuff and just leave the colors flat.
