As I was listening to the rain today, I took a look at my messages and had a response from a artist I made a comment on last month. For the sake of the journal, I won't disclose the artist's user name. Anyway, I was commenting on a image that she made on a 3d modeling program and commented on the piece.
She explained that there wasn't a standard on how to make a anime head.
My reply? I agreed with that statement. However, some where in my statement, it was translated into the wrong direction.
She went on a short rant on explaining how it was done when she was making it and I wanted to post back to explain what I meant.

So I was on one of my usual searches for techniques of the 3d modeling program, Blender.
Looking around letting my curiosity take the wheel when I came across this:
A character from one of my favorite RPG's Skies of Arcadia was created in Blender. I took a look at that character, took a look at my work, then look back at that picture and mumbled to myself, "@#$!%^ my life"... A picture like that really makes me question my own skills and only to realize that my skills can't hold a candle compared to what that guy did.
Now if you would excuse me, I'm going to f
After watching Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children for the 5th time, it has inspired me to search for ways to create that same design for my characters. I also looked at how the faces were made, only to find out that most of the faces are really rounded. There are no hints of creases in the face. So the next time I make a character, I'll try to adopt that in the process. Anyway, my main concern is trying to replicate the same texture in GIMP. If you have any thing like a tutorial, send it my way!
Thanks for faving my anthro head model, though I have to let you know that its ears are facing the wrong way and it is now in my scrapbook (I just haven't realized that I have failed to notfiy anyone about that until you faved it).
