I've had a life long love of photography since my high school days in the early 1970's. My main focus has been railroading, but I also do nature and landscape photography. Check your settings on your deviation submissions!

I just discovered that any new deviations we post in our gallery automatically defaults a "free download" of the source file of our work. As near as I can tell, DeviantArt started doing it this past June. This makes it especially bad for people trying to sell their work as anyone can just grab a free download of your work! I find it disturbing that DeviantArt made this change without our knowledge. It makes it easier for people out there to pirate or steal your work. You have to go into the 'advanced settings' after uploading your deviation and click off the 'free download' switch before you post your deviation. You have to do this for each deviation you upload so beware!
