And here were the stuff that I was totally fine with! ^_^;;
Walking to the station in the morning, which is our pick up area. It's not uncommon to be carrying an armor bag and a naginata, but as this was a weekend, I had my purse and an overnight bag too. Early morning, in the dead of winter, and under any other circumstances, I'd have been griping about it ^_^;;
The more you do the forms, the more you remember and the more your muscles remember. Everyone is always pretty surprised how many times I want to run a set, so it's not uncommon for me to just keep on reviewing them over and over again. Again, under other circumstances, I've always hated practicing. Not here though, I suppose!
When I first started fighting in Naginata, I haaaaateeed it. I'm still a bit gun-shy when it comes to fighting a scary person, but I can mostly take a full on stick to foot/leg whack and keep going. (and I get a lot of those b/c the leg guards are too short and not wide enough for my shins and calves ^_^;;
This one was probably the funniest. The guys were fighting while we practiced judging, and one dude just let go of his naginata (to have us practice what to do then) but the other guy hit it just then, so it came flying at me. I normally would have been flustered, but nope, I just side stepped the thing, and made a note to laugh about it later.
I guess the summary of these two comics is social anxiety is hard, but some things I'm okay with when I'm doing a thing I love ^_^
