A look at our next Lynda Carter Wonder Woman maquette from Tweeterhead. This one was a lot of fun to work on. Sculpted in TMS wax in roughly 1:6 scale. The lasso here is just a temporary placeholder. The final was made beautifully by Matt Black, as was the base.

You can see the final maquette which was molded and cast by the great Mike Allen and painted so beautifully by David Fisher here: www.facebook.com/Tweeterhead/p…

The piece goes up for preorder July 3rd, with an exclusive skirt version on sale only at Tweeterhead.

She looks amazing! Cute face and the star pattern on her pants is so dang cool. You did a great job!

Thank you so much!! Oh boy, we struggled on this one for a bit. I was given some poor direction, so I had the body in a slightly different pose, initially...weight on one hip sort of thing, rather than a more symmetrical approach. I had already done all the stars, and then I was asked to change it........ugh. The face had to be reworked substantially too, because we tried it with a big smile....

That sounds like such a hassle, especially having to re-do those pants! Your pose description does sound nice tho, i wonder why they didn't go with it.

Yeah, I guess so long as the final piece is good, the pains to get there are just part of it. :) Some of these things don't start with any concept art, so I'm having to go off of vague ideas, and it leads to multiple changes. I do understand it, I sometimes don't know what I want with a piece until I'm in the middle of it.
