989 ViewsNECA's continuing their amazing TMNT 1990 movie figure line, and Casey Jones is joining the fight against the FOOT. Casey was revealed at ToyFair 2020.
Really fun to work on Casey's headsculpt and mask. One of my earliest memories is pretending to be Ninja Turtles, and the earliest of those memories is pretending to be the movie version of Casey Jones.
Alas, I never grew up to be a ninja or hockey player.... I am, however, a mutant.

Am I right to believe that Casey will not come with a unmasked head?
I'm a freelancer for NECA, so I don't know what the final decision had to be. There are a lot of difficult obstacles to overcome with licensing likenesses for these older films and NECA works harder at it than most. I don't know that Elias Koteas allowed for his likeness to be used in the end. It's looking like probably not, judging by the preview at Toyfair, but I have no idea.
Okay. I just thought since you had been working a bit on it maybe you had a little bit of knowledge about the whole thing. But I get it, freelancer doesn't get all the news.
It certainly does seem though that they didn't get the likeness for Elias, which is sad. I was really hoping for a swappable head.

I really hope it has the swap out headsculpt, too, but I'm doubtful it was approved.

I hear ya'....It's expensive to buy toys, now, anyway. A lot of these things are so scarce now that you have to look on ebay to get anything, and it's at least double the price, sometimes triple.

I only work as a freelance sculptor for NECA, so I have no influence over their choices, I'm afraid. I'm sure you can make suggestions to NECA on their social media pages, like Facebook or Twitter.

Supposedly, you can make figures of Hokmuto, Femuto, The Skullcrawlers, King Ghidorah, Scylla, Methuselah, the second Femuto and Behemoth?
