Futuristic, yet old at the same time. I can hear the boats and almost feel the rust on the buildings. Outstanding work!

Am I the only one who thinks that that central building looks like a bird head?

First off, I have always liked the 'future peasant' motif. I'm a child of the '80s and we were expecting to be doing this sort of thing (fishing/farming) with our grandchildren in the shadow of automated factories.

The second thing, and I am sure it is just my brain before coffee, is the building in the middle of the image looks like it just dropped its mother's favorite coffee cup. Which is perfect because buildings in the real world sometimes have "expressions" so your painting becomes a little more real.

Somehow it has a bit of a Firefly vibe for me, mixed with a bit of a LEXX flavour. Very nice!

Oh really!? I can see that a bit

I love that you mentioned LEXX. That and Farscape were my favorite shows during Sci-Fi Channel's golden years.

I love the alien/futuristic style you have gone for. It really makes the piece quite interesting and gives a sense of curiosity and like your looking into the un-nowen. I also love the atmospheric lighting you used, it really gives a sense of depth in the scene.

Over all great piece😄. Stay creative!
