Unfortunately, depression and self-doubt are the province of truly intelligent and creative people. I've borne my own share of that burden (though lately it seems to be related to this half of me...yeah, the Trans half).

Remember that depression lies. It won't give you the same honest opinion that people you can trust will give you. You're never as bad as you think you are.

Depression lies.

The dark side of our brains can be very mean and when you spend a lot of time on your own it seems to manifest itself into your worst nightmare. Rather like Flowey in that respect. hope your feeling alright my friend :)

Heh, sometimes I feel that the brain is often it's owner's worst ennemy. :iconlazysleepplz:

I know the feeling, although I still haven't gotten to talk to a counselor. The longer it takes for me to transition, the more violent my brain's messages to me become. :T It's gotten to the point that if I don't talk to a counselor soon, I'm honestly afraid that I might end up doing something out of impulse.

Stay strong, and let's both try to get through this struggle. :)

Self-doubt is a troublesome foe. Few can honestly overcome it without throwing out their self-regards completely. It is true however that you needn't worry about yourself if your destination is death. But many seek death without the courage to live through it, and that is unforgivable.

Why do you think it's unforgivable to seek death but 'not having the courage to live through it'? Just curious.

Seeking death without the courage to live through it implies suicide. I believe it is cowardly and selfish to commit suicide. Because not only are you unfairly removing other people's ability to see you, but you are also accepting death before trying to beat it.

As they say, suicide is a permanent solution to a non-permanent problem. Death is only permissible when you are doing what you must, to save someone important to you, or to prove your ambition's worth to your opponent.

I agree that suicide is a premature and selfish "solution", but I don't see how it is possible to beat death... unless you meant that "beating" death is when you die for a cause or without meaning to?

You could move past what led you towards death, or you could die for a purpose.

(I'd say being killed against your will (murdered or accidental), or just dying of natural causes does not count as facing death. At least not in the same way)
