What is accepted to our Gallery
Art submitted to our Gallery must be categorized as "Traditional Art" to be accepted. Traditional art that is made for commercial/applied [art] reasons will be declined.
A simple rule of thumb if you're in doubt…is the artwork meant to be used/utilitarian in any way? If so, it will not be accepted by the group.
All submissions must be finished pieces.
Members must choose the correct folder.

3D traditional art: The types of 3D traditional artwork we accept is limited. Please read this journal for more information on how to submit that type of artwork.
Anamorphosis or Anamorphic Art traditional art: Not accepted.
All work submitted must be your own. In the case of collage, assemblage, sculpture, "recycling art", etc., we use the legal copyright infringement guidelines of 75% of the work must be your own work.
Each case will be decided individually.
(1) Must be a polyptych (diptych, triptych, tetraptych, etc.). Not sure what a polyptych is? Please research it before submitting.
(2) All images in each piece must follow all group submission rules.
(3) Digital use/enhancing to combine artworks must be limited and will be at the discretion of the admins.
(4) If admins can not determine if it is a polyptych, your submissioin will be declined
(hint: comment in Artist Comments what type of polyptych it is -- see (1) directly above).
(5) Each case will be decided individually.
Mature content is allowed as long as it is tastefully presented.
These types are not accepted and will be denied:
1) Suggestive nudity
2) Anything showing genital areas
3) Interaction of any sort while nude
4) Illustrating illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia
5) Pornographic, Hate, Political or Social statements, gratuitous Violence/Gore, or Fetish pieces.
Mature content not specified here will be at the discretion of group admins.
Commercial/Applied [art] -- artwork meant to be used/utilitarian in any way
Comic/Illustration panels or frames
WIP, Studies, Doodles, [quick] Sketches, Un-finished works, etc.
Graffiti Art -- in all forms
Costumery -- including any/all masks & accessories
If your Deviation Descriptions (aka Artist's Comments) gives no information about the artwork or only contain links to outside websites.
Low quality images. *See below for more details .
Digital images/editing *See below for more details .
Pornographic, Hate, Political or Social statements, gratuitous Violence/Gore, or Fetish pieces.
Work that is not yours.
Traced art and/or faked art.
If your Tutorial submission is only a link to an outside website. The tutorial must be an actual DeviantART deviation.
Collab Art: Generally speaking, collab art work will not be accepted.
Exceptions may be made if there is clear explanations in the artists comments of: (1) a description of each contributor's work, (2) proper permission was obtained from each contributor, (3) the work done by the member follows all submission rules, and (4) there is an explanation on what parts, if any, were done digitally.
Please make sure your submission is showing only your artwork and is clearly/easily viewable.
We will not accept submissions where:
Small images. Image size should be at least 600px on the shortest side (either the horizontal or vertical side), or enlargable to this minimum dimension. Submissions under this size will be decided at the admin's discretion, only.
Blurry or out-of-focus images.
Image is not oriented for proper viewing (Portrait/Vertical formatted images oriented in Landscape/Horizontal format will be declined. Images must be oriented for proper viewing before submitting.)
Anything in the image that is not specifically part of the artwork. (art supplies, people, tables, etc.)
Drawing surfaces and/or surroundings are excessively in view
Reference images or WIP's are in view
Artists who are not the art object themselves are in view
Absolutely NO digital work, filters/colors or background and NO digital brushes or text may be included in your traditional art submission.
PNG or GIF files with original backgrounds removed will NOT be accepted.
(1) Only use a digital program to fix the lighting/tones to the original values if your camera/scanner has changed them.
(2) Add a simple digital mat/frame. (NOT a photographed or simulated frame)
(3) Add a copyright/website url or similar watermark or logo.
(4) Digital text MIGHT be accepted if it meets the following:
Info allowed: title, artwork dimensions, artist's name and/or website.
Must be outside the artwork.
Any digital text acceptance is at the sole discretion of group admins.
Admin staff looks closely at each and every deviation submitted before accepting to the gallery. If the submission does not follow all our group rules, it will be denied.
Denial by group admins is final, no appeals.
Please note: The following is strongly considered and WILL effect your submission.
You should have the art medium description written in the deviation description (aka Artist's Comments).
Provide an enlargeable view, even if it is off-site. Art submitted smaller than 600px might be declined.
Categorize it CORRECTLY by DeviantART's categorizing rules/guidelines. (All submissions must be in a Traditional Art category) Here's some info to help, devbug.deviantart.com/blog/376…
If admins can not determine the type of medium used, your submission will be declined.
Art using References will be accepted. Written permission and credits should always be aquired when using reference images. Traditional-Art-Only believes in legal copyright laws and follow DeviantART's copyright policies. We do not accept traced art.
PLEASE BE AWARE: If you've used a reference image, Group admins may notify the original artist of your artwork.
