The new Character Page is up at the Lackadaisy web site (click a character for the description).

It took a couple of years, but this is the color art that went into it. Each piece takes some inspiration from illustration and commercial art styles of the early 20th Century - things such as Knapp-Felt, Arrow Collar and Austin Reed ads, vintage movie posters, the Saturday Evening Post, Theater magazine, and Tamara de Lempicka.
--------------------------------

Hardcover, signed Lackadaisy Vol1 books just became available for pre-order here. I expect them to start shipping in mid-July.

Site updates and art postings announced on Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr too.

Who else was expecting Abelard and Bobby's fur colors to be the other way around?

My favorite character out of all of these is probably... Abelard... And Rocky as a runner-up.

I want a Zib poster like that so bad. Seriously, it looks too cool not to have.

'Mordecai Heller' seems like a hell of a book.

Fuck, I made a cheesy pun.

i just have one question, whats the deal with Ivy and Victor ??

ivy and victor both crave a family, he a daughter(if i am correct as a surrogate for his own) and she someone who needs her. i am not sure if there is any romance but the story has been pretty keene on letting us know that victor at least is missing someone and ivy is a good substitution

Mitzi's design is my favorite! From her droopy eyes, her hair, her hips- she's full of curves! Her fur looks so soft and her tail looks like feather on some illustrations.

We have only seen Serafine with her hair up, when will we get to see her with it down in the comic? (Cuz she looks like an epic gypsy)

Amazing job! All of the hard work of making these cards truly paid off. And the style is perfect for the era. The early 1900s is my favorite era to draw from, art deco is so elegant and dramatic!
