MMD Figure Stand

I downloaded BeamMan's Figurine MME effect to mess with and needed a stand that looks like it's made of plastic, so I made this one. It can be used as is, or you can easily slip a working mirror on to it.

You can repaint it in the PMD Editor.

can you tell me how you got the character to actually look like i figure? i tried some kinda figure shader n my model but it turned her  gray and black =/

I just used the effect straight out of the package. The effect does have a desaturating effect on the model making the colors duller and grayer.

I used it here:

And in the description there are links to other pictures I used it in, which is quiet a lot...
I'm probably going to spam use this again. :retarded-clap:

So, you're one of those MMDer's that like these 'focus' shots of MMD models, huh? Cool stuff! Maybe I should make a special version of one of these stands just for you?

Just let me know what your favorite color is; no promises though, but you never know. ;)

I guess I am that type of MMDer.
I want to try to make my own stand like this in GoogleSketchup but I'm working on some other random thing in it that I haven't even touched in like a week...
That would make me happy if you made a stand for me.. Even though I just get happy whenever you make a stage at all. If you ever would do that, my favorite color is blue.

Do you have a tutorial on how the effect works? I have it and I've been editing the fx files to no end but I can't get the effect to look like it does in the demo video. I also can't read the Japanese in the demo video so I'm stumped.

Someone made a tutorial for this effect already (I believe) - but essentially, you just apply it to the model via the MME panel. Should be dead easy to use, but I'm not crazy about the effect which is why you seldom see me using it.

If they did I haven't been able to find it...

When I apply it to the model it turns the model all shiny and metallic-ish. Nothing like Beamman's demonstration video. That's why I was wondering what you did.

The symptoms you describe suggests that your system doesn't support the effect. But honestly, this effect is very situational so you wouldn't be missing much if this were the case.

Ah. All right then. Thank you :)

Crediting is simply to acknowledge those materials that you've used that you did not create yourself. Just look through my gallery for examples of how this can be done.
