Good grief, it's been almost a year since I updated my journal... oops. Let's see uhhh... well I finished my first year of Applied Photography at the end of April, looking forward to going back in September again. SIAST has decided to axe the program after my class graduates, so there's going to be no new first years in the fall, which mega sucks. We're still hopeful that we can get them to change their decision, but they don't seem to want to budge much, which is a crying shame. SIAST is (was) the only place that offered a photography program like the one it offered, in Saskatchewan. So now, if anyone in Saskatchewan wants to get into a program like the one I'm currently in, the closest place is Edmonton or Calgary, I believe. Super lame.
Umm what else... Made a few life changes recently, I guess. Split with my boyfriend of 4 years in early June... well okay, I guess that's really the only big change, lol. Also got started on the sleeve I've wanted forever on my left arm. Got a pinup girl done on my upper arm, photography themed I loooove it~ Perhaps I should post a picture or something.
Definitely looking forward to Thursday this week, a friend of mine from Virginia is coming up, who is also a photographer, and we're going to go on a ghost town road trip type thing like I did last year with my friend Sara. Definitely going to be loads of fun He's only going to be up for 4 days, which sucks but oh well~
I reeeeeeeeeeally need to post stuff here more often, I tend to just throw things on flickr more often than on here. You can find me on flickr at www.flickr.com/photos/ehodsonp… I tend to just put a lot of my film stuff up on there, but there's some random digital stuff thrown in there, too. I shot way more film than I did digital in the past year, but that'll change once I get back to classes in September, since it's pretty much all digital for 2nd year. Get to work with 4x5 cameras though, which is AWESOME
Aaaaand that's literally all that's happened in the past (almost) year. My life is so boring~
