Are you being honest with yourself? by Suzanne-Helmigh, journal

Are you being honest with yourself?

Apr 9, 2014

As part of becoming good at something you need to be able to reflect upon yourself. Judge your own abilities and work and consider the possibility that what ever you have been doing it wrong all along. Or perhaps you're actually being to hard on yourself and you're better than your conscious is telling you. (This is bad too because it leads to insecurities.) Signs that you might overestimate your current skills. Do you often feel these things when you look upon work from good artists?: I can totally do this too. This is not so hard, I can do this faster. My work is way more interesting. It's not fair that this person gets way more attenti...

I've Moved!

Aug 12, 2025

Right, years late on this, but noticed some people still asking; I no longer do any art or posting through DeviantART. It was going a bit downhill years ago, long before the AI implementation. Truth be told, I was getting more commission work through FurAffinity, and I"m not very good at managing multiple sites, so the majority of commission work I now do through there. If you're looking for commission options, go check out my Furaffinity, or try my new commission Discord! https://www.furaffinity.net/user/toughset/ https://discord.gg/pegFx2wSEa Also I"m on Bluesky! I try to reserve it mostly for personal art, so posting isn't as frequent, but it's there for anyone interested. https://bsky.app/profile/drawmadillo.bsky.social I plan on leaving my stuff up on here, for old time's sake, but at least until something changes, this account is effectively defunct. Hope to see all y'all elsewhere!

Out of curiosity, are you on fur affinity more now as your last post there was just a day ago whereas you haven't posted anything here since 2017! But regardless, since I'm not comfortable logging in on Fur Affinity just yet, I have to ask if you've heard anything from Tranquility_Go who hasn't posted anything on Fur Affinity in the past seven years! Any idea if you can tell me here via DeviantArt what happened to her over there on Fur Affinity?
