My Galactic Marine costume from Star Wars Episode III. It was one of my costumes for the 501st Legion. This saw several upgrades, but is no longer with me. I sold it.

Sweet shot! :D

I also like that custom blaster there, a lot. It looks very Verpine in design, hehehe. :horns:

It's actually the Verpine Sniper Weapon System, as designed and built by Ray Ramirez, the guy that Karen Traviss (author of the Republic Commando novels) gets all her tech info and inspiration from. He came up with the technical specs, history, and visual design of the Verpine Sniper Rifle, and actually built three of them: one for him, one for Karen, and one for me. It's one of the coolest things to have ever happened to me.

Yeah, I know Ray and the original Verp Sniper, that's why I asked. :D Since your one lacks the scope, I wondered if it's a carbine version or something.

And yeah, Ray's stuff is sure damn kick-ass. He's a great guy, he gave me some technical advise on my SW fanfics as well, and just like Karen in LotF, I gave him a little cameo. :horns: So I sure know the feeling, hehe. Though your "gift" is really another level of awesomeness.

For the GM character, I planned for it to be a once-pristine Verpine rifle that has been damaged slightly and now only functions as a mid-range shotgun type of weapon. The idea is that he can just scoop up gravel into the barrel and launches it down a hallway. :) I actually added some ROTJ Boba Fett rifle greeblies to it as well as a strap. I asked if Ray could add the rifle mounts to it though, should I want to add a scope at a later time.

Sweet. :D It is a very delicate weapon, after all, eh?^^ I like the idea of using it as a shotgun. Makes sense, after all, and with the incredible varieties for ammo, it's a damn useful one as well, hehe. :horns:

what kind of materials did you make it out of?

All kinds. I was among the first 3 people on the planet to build the costume, so we were really paving the way for future GM costumers. I had to be very creative, and fortunately there were other people at the time still working on it, from whom I was able to acquire vac-formed parts (such as the chest and arms, and fiberglass parts such as the helmet. The rest was pretty much scratch built.

haha, i'd be too tempted to wear it everywhere i go!
