I’m Tibor Török, (realist) drawing artist. Originally I was business information technologist then security guard. I have only been dealing with drawing more seriously for two years. Before that I hadn’t even hold a pencil or drawing paper in my hands for about 12 years. It had never come to my mind to draw until July 2018. Then thanks to a little bit of push and encouragement, I finally tried myself out and I created my first portrait, a self-portrait.
The world has already rejected many artists, including writers, painters, and drawers. I remained with the drawing. I draw mostly black and white graphite drawings, that’s what I’m focusing on. I prefer this one mainly because I am a red-green color blind. I leave painting and drawing in colour alone.
Although I had plans with drawing, at first it was more of a hobby, I started to do it as a freelancer, independent artist, I didn’t really hope for anything more. I thought, it is definitely worth a try. Then after a few drawings (especially portraits) I caught on quite well and I developed a style in me, a direction I set as my goal in front of me.
It is the lifelike representation, realistic or photorealistic drawing. Pretty soon I realized that there are painters and drawers who can make such photographic paintings that at first one may really believe that he sees a photo. I have really liked it. I have followed this line ever since. I don’t know why, but somehow I found myself attracted to it, the details, the fine workmanship of how these creations are made.
Always keeping my eyes on the prize to get better and better, I practice regularly, train and develop myself. To create a lifelike drawing, I need some high-quality drawing tools, graphite pencils and some other tools. I use graphite pencil leads from the brand named Derwent graphic. I use these drawing tools to make shadows soft or to create the complex details of features.
Have a nice day!
