Axis of gravity study on a Flying brick

Last night while drunk we talked about believable ships in SciFi.
I and this other guy are Firefly fans, but he was going on how great this ship was and believable.

Then I pointed out issues with its design.
When I spoke of center of gravity he got confused and thought I meant flying in the air....
.... And tried to explain that the center of mass does not matter.

So this morning worked on a simple quick image explaining the issue with a ship that is not based off a symetrical design.  And the very ship he loved and thought was fine as is.

I still feel the CG work on the ship is impressive, but they should have moved or changed some things to allow it to fly in a straight line and be sound structurally.
